Ice ciders

Pioneers of ice cider since 1999

In 1999, St‑Nicolas Cidery became the first cidery in the world to bring ice cider to market. Our two ice ciders, Glace du Verger and St‑Nicolas Ice Cider, are made through natural cryoextraction using apples grown in our Lévis orchards. Since 2014, St‑Nicolas Ice Cider has carried the IGP Cidre de glace du Québec protected geographical indication.

ST-NICOLAS ICE CIDER

375 ml • 9 % alc./vol.

St‑Nicolas Ice Cider was the world’s first commercially available ice cider, launched by Cidrerie St‑Nicolas at the SAQ in 1999. Made using natural cryoextraction from apples grown in our Lévis orchards, it has carried the IGP Cidre de glace du Québec protected geographical indication since 2014. On the palate, it reveals complex aromas of candied fruit, honey and gentle spices, followed by a long, lingering finish.

Serve well chilled as an aperitif or pair it with foie gras, blue cheeses and fruit-based desserts. It can also be enjoyed on its own, like a port.

GLACE DU VERGER

375 ml • 7 % alc./vol.

Made using natural cryoextraction, Glace du Verger is produced from late-harvest apples that freeze naturally for several months during the Quebec winter before being pressed. On the palate, notes of honey, ripe apple and caramel reveal concentrated sweetness and a long, lingering finish. This rich, dessert-style cider won a gold medal at the 2014 World Wine Championships in Chicago.

Serve well chilled as an aperitif or pair it with foie gras, blue cheeses and fruit-based desserts.
